December 2006

ILLA International issued complete Basic Engineering Packages for two jobs, Reanimation of the existing phenol plant and Revamping of all the process sections of this plant, under the SAMARAORGSINTEZ phenol plant revamp expansion project. Currently, the detail engineering phase is underway.

November 2006

The WEPP pilot unit started running at a phenol/acetone production plant. The run is scheduled for at least one year.

6-7th June 2006 in Prague, Czech Republic.

ILLA is successfully proceeding with the revision of the BOREALIS Polymers Oy detailed engineering project in the construction of the CHP cleavage unit at its Porvoo Phenol Plant.

ILLA International was awarded a contract in the phenol plant revamp expansion project of SAMARAORGSINTEZ (Novokuibyshevsk, Russia) ("Hydrocarbon Processing" Oct.,2005, p.13).

ILLA has finished the lab pilot tests of a pioneer process for the production of phenol and acetone virtually free of wastes, so called Waste-less Process of Phenol Production (WEPP).

A new 200 000 t/year phenol train was started up at FORMOSA CHEMICALS AND FIBER CORPORATION, Taiwan.

ILLA International, LLC. received a letter from Mr.Peter Bickert, President of INEOS Phenol, USA, with a detailed description of the causes of the accident at INEOS Phenol plant (Mobile, Alabama, USA).

BOREALIS Polymers Oy (Finland) is going to completely revamp its Kellogg two-step process of technical CHP cleavage in boiling acetone medium at its Porvoo Phenol Plant using ILLA two-step process of homogeneous CHP cleavage, FAN-2000TM.
